Have these ready first
- An IPTV app with an Xtream Codes or Xtream API login option
- Your MYTIVIFLIX activation message
- Somewhere private to keep a copy, such as a password manager or a locked note
- Five minutes for the first device, and roughly one for each device after that
Still without a login? The free 24-hour trial needs a WhatsApp number and no card, or you can compare the plans.
Installing and signing in
Find the Xtream option in your player
IPTV Smarters calls it Login with Xtream Codes API. TiViMate calls it Xtream Codes login. Other players shorten it to Xtream or simply API. Where an app offers both Xtream and M3U, pick Xtream: it loads the guide and on-demand library automatically and keeps your credentials in separate fields.
Enter the server URL
Type the full address with http:// in front and the port after a colon, shaped like http://example.com:8080. Add nothing after the port, not even a trailing slash. This single field is behind most failed logins, so read it back before pressing anything.
Enter the username and password
Both are case sensitive, so match capitals exactly. The profile or playlist name some apps request is only a label on your device and is never sent to us, so there is no need to use your real name there.
Save and let the app sync
Channels, films, series and guide data download on their own. The first sync takes a minute or two. Once it is done, adding a second television or a phone takes well under a minute with the same three values.
Store the details somewhere secure
Save the three values in a password manager, most of which have a free tier, or in a locked note on your phone. That is safer than scrolling back through a chat each time, and it means you can delete old screenshots of the activation message from your photo library.
Know how to rotate them
If a device is lost, sold without being wiped, or you shared the details with someone who no longer lives with you, message support and ask for a new password. Each device you still use then needs the new value, and every copy of the old one stops working at once.
Test on one device before adding the rest
Enter the details on a single device first and confirm a channel actually plays. Once you know the three values are right, adding them elsewhere is copy work rather than troubleshooting, and if something fails later you already know the account itself is fine.
Remove your profile from devices you leave behind
Most players list saved profiles on their opening screen, each with an option to delete it. Remove yours from any television you will not see again, such as a holiday rental or a friend's box, rather than simply closing the app and walking away.
Known problems and what fixes them
The player only offers an M3U field
Some older apps have no Xtream support at all. In that case take the M3U link sent in the same WhatsApp message; it carries the same account in a different format. The M3U guide explains where to paste it and how to keep it private.
Login fails only on public Wi-Fi
Some public networks block the port used in the server URL. A VPN app usually solves this, and on a network you do not control it also keeps your login out of sight.
The app warns about too many connections
A device left playing somewhere else may be using a stream. Close the player on screens you are not watching. If you do not recognise the activity at all, ask support for a new password straight away.
Login worked yesterday and fails today
Check your renewal date first, since an expired plan looks just like a broken login from the sofa. If the plan is active, re-enter the password manually in case the app has lost it after an update.
The server field keeps changing what I typed
Some TV keyboards autocomplete addresses, add www or insert a second http:// in front of what you entered. Clear the field completely, type the address again slowly, and check nothing has been added before or after it.
The login works but films and series are empty
Several players load live channels first and fetch the on-demand library separately. Look for a refresh or reload option inside the films and series sections, and allow a large library a few minutes on the first run.
My username shows up on the profile screen
Many players display saved usernames when they open. On a shared television, use a profile name that says nothing about you and turn on the parental or app lock where the player or the TV offers one.
Keeping your login to yourself
The server address, username and password you have just typed in are your whole account, so treat them the way you would a banking password. Leave them out of screenshots, family group chats and forum posts, and if you send support a photo of the screen, cover the password field first. If you suspect your details have been shared around, ask support on WhatsApp to change the password on your line. Where you want your internet provider or a public network kept out of your viewing, the player works over the common VPN apps; connect to a nearby server before opening it.

What people ask about Xtream Codes login and MYTIVIFLIX
Is Xtream Codes legal?
The format is simply a way of passing a username, password and server address, and ordinary apps in every major store use it. The legal question concerns the provider behind the login and whether it is licensed for the content it carries, a topic our IPTV legality article deals with in detail.
Why does the server address start with http rather than https?
Many IPTV servers, and the players built for them, still use plain HTTP. On your own home network that is ordinary. On a shared or public network, a VPN encrypts the connection between your device and the VPN server, which covers the gap.
Can I change my username or password?
Ask support on WhatsApp. A new password is the quickest fix whenever you think your details have travelled further than you intended.
Is Xtream better than M3U?
For most players, yes: separate fields, an automatic guide and on-demand library, and much less chance of pasting your whole account into a website by mistake. M3U is for players that accept nothing else.
Where should I never paste my Xtream details?
Anywhere public or semi-public: forum posts asking for help, social media comments, screenshots sent to group chats, and third-party websites that promise to test logins or turn them into playlists. If you need help, message support in your private WhatsApp chat, where we already have them.
Can the same login run in several apps at once?
Yes. The same three values work in Smarters on one screen and TiViMate on another. Your plan limits how many streams play at the same time, not how many apps or devices hold the login.
What does each of the three values actually do?
The server URL tells the app which machine to contact and on which port. The username and password prove to that server that the request comes from an active MYTIVIFLIX account. Nothing else is needed, which is exactly why the three together should stay private.
