Installing and signing in
Copy the link from your own device
In your activation message the link looks like http://server:port/get.php, followed by your username and password as parameters. Copy it on your own phone or computer. If you need it on another device, send it through a private channel to yourself rather than through email threads or group chats.
Paste it into your player
VLC: Media, Open Network Stream. Smart IPTV: the upload page at siptv.app/mylist. TiViMate and Smarters accept M3U too, though the Xtream login is the better choice in both. Each player stores the link in its own settings, so remember where you put it for when you want to remove it later.
Set up Kodi through its official add-on
In Kodi open Add-ons, Install from repository, PVR clients, and install PVR IPTV Simple Client from the official Kodi repository. Open its settings, paste your link into the M3U playlist URL field, and restart Kodi. Avoid third-party Kodi builds and unofficial repositories; they are a well-known route for unwanted software.
Add the guide if the player asks
Some players want programme data supplied separately. The guide address is the same server ending in xmltv.php with your credentials attached, which means it deserves the same care as the playlist. Support will send it on request.
Keep the link out of checker websites
Sites that offer to test, merge or convert M3U playlists receive your full link, credentials included, and you have no idea what they keep. There is no reason to use them with a paid account. If a list will not load, message support instead and we will check it from our side.
Clean up wherever the link was used
Players such as VLC remember recent addresses. Clear recent media on shared computers, and remove the playlist from any device or app you stop using. If you cannot remember everywhere it went, ask for a new password and start again with a clean link.
Test with one channel before anything else
Once the list appears, open a well-known channel and let it play for a minute before changing any settings. That confirms the link, the network and the player all work together, which narrows down any later problem considerably.
Prefer the Xtream login where you can
If a player offers an Xtream login as well as M3U, use the login. Your credentials then sit in labelled fields inside the app instead of in a single address that can be copied, synced or logged whole. Keep the M3U for players that genuinely accept nothing else.
Known problems and what fixes them
The list loads very slowly
Simple players read thousands of entries before showing anything. Use a player with category support, like TiViMate or Smarters, or request from support a playlist filtered to the countries you watch.
The link stopped working after a password change
Your password is part of the address, so a new password means a new link. Request the updated M3U and replace it in each player that used the old one.
Kodi shows no channels after adding the link
Restart Kodi after configuring the client, then check the client is enabled under Add-ons, My add-ons, PVR clients. A typo in the URL field produces the same empty result.
The browser downloads a file instead of playing
That is expected. An M3U link points to a playlist file, not a web page, so browsers save it. Open the link in a media player instead, and delete the downloaded file afterwards, because it contains your credentials in plain text.
Smart IPTV or another player will not accept the link
Check the entire link was copied; long addresses are easily cut short, which drops the password or the output part at the end. Paste it into a notes app on your own phone to see it complete, then copy it again from there.
Kodi asks you to allow unknown sources
The official PVR IPTV Simple Client comes from the Kodi repository and does not need that setting. If a guide tells you to enable unknown sources for IPTV, it is steering you toward an unofficial add-on, so stop and use the official client instead.
Keeping your login to yourself
The server address, username and password you have just typed in are your whole account, so treat them the way you would a banking password. Leave them out of screenshots, family group chats and forum posts, and if you send support a photo of the screen, cover the password field first. If you suspect your details have been shared around, ask support on WhatsApp to change the password on your line. Where you want your internet provider or a public network kept out of your viewing, the player works over the common VPN apps; connect to a nearby server before opening it.

Why do free M3U lists found on GitHub keep dying?
Those lists are scraped streams reposted for anyone to grab, so huge numbers of people pull from one source until it is blocked or buckles, generally inside a week. Nobody answers when they break, and the sites handing them out are a common way to pick up malware. A paid playlist belongs to one account, yours.
Is my M3U link effectively my password?
In practice, yes. It contains your username and password, so anyone with the link can use your account. Treat it accordingly, and ask for a new password if it ends up somewhere it should not.
Can I share one playlist link with family?
Anyone using the link uses your connections, so shared links count against your plan limit and can knock you off mid-programme. For several screens at once, a multi-device plan is the tidier arrangement.
Does the M3U include films and series?
The link can carry on-demand entries, but simple players show them as one enormous flat list. For browsing films and series comfortably, use the Xtream login in a player built for it, such as IPTV Smarters Pro or TiViMate.
How does the M3U link differ from my Xtream login?
Both open the same account. The Xtream login splits the details into server, username and password fields and lets players fetch the guide and library in an organised way. The M3U link packs everything into one address, which suits simple players but is easier to leak.
Is it safe to keep a downloaded M3U file on my computer?
The file lists stream addresses that include your credentials, so treat it as sensitive. Keep it in your own user folder, not a shared drive or a publicly synced folder, and delete copies you no longer need.
Can I edit the playlist to remove channels?
You can, since it is plain text, but a local copy will not update when channels change on our side. Asking support for a filtered link keeps the list current and avoids passing an edited file around.
